Google Chrome and Http websites warnings.

For those who still have a http website the below will be of interest.

From the start of October 2017 if your website is still http and you have a form to collect any customers details Google will highlight the website as “not secure”. To make sure this does not happen you will need to migrate your website to https.

We can only speculate on the impact this will have, however from a personal point of view, if I saw a ‘not secure’ notice I’d think twice about filling out any details on the site.

You still have a couple of months to migrate over to https, so if you’re unsure then drop a note to your web master.
